Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
ENFOQUE Y ALCANCE
La Revista de Investigación, Ciencia, Estudios y Saberes (RICES), es una publicación científica enfocada en las ciencias sociales y humanas, de acceso abierto, que se dirige a la comunidad nacional e internacional. Tiene como objetivo la publicación de artículos de investigación y revisión, escritos en español e inglés, en las áreas económicas, políticas, pedagógicas, navales, de seguridad y defensa, y otras ciencias socio humanísticas.
RICES tiene una periodicidad semestral y selecciona sus contenidos mediante un proceso de arbitraje por pares, a través del sistema “doble ciego”. En cuanto a su política de ética, RICES se adhiere a las normas del Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
RICES es financiada, en su totalidad, por Universu S.A.S. y opera bajo el modelo de acceso abierto; es decir, no hay cargos de procesamiento y publicación para los autores.
PROCESO DE PUBLICACIÓN
El proceso de publicación de RICES comprende tres etapas: el sometimiento de artículos, la evaluación por pares y la edición profesional. A continuación, se detallan algunos aspectos claves de cada una de esas etapas.
SOMETIMIENTO DE ARTÍCULOS
Envío. Los manuscritos serán enviados al correo electrónico revistarices@gmail.com, editor@universu.com.co en formato MS-Word formato docx o compatible, conforme con los lineamientos detallados en las instrucciones para los autores. El texto también puede ser enviado mediante la plataforma OJS de la revista, para esto el autor deberá registrarse en ella.
